    4. EUR

    5. THB
    6. NZD
    7. SGD
    8. HKD

    11. AED

Qantas Cash is designed to offer you more flexibility and affordability when you plan on spending money in a range of different currencies. This prepaid frequent flyer debit card also gives you a way to earn more Qantas Points for your spending both in Australia and overseas, making it a competitive alternative option to frequent flyer credit cards.

However, it does come with a range of requirements and limitations – such as an AUD$50 load minimum and varying loading times. This makes it important to read through the terms and conditions, and weigh up your other options so that you can decide if the Qantas Cash prepaid Mastercard is right for you.

Does MasterCard have a non toll non 1300 number you can call for assistance from overseas?

I see they only advertise +61 1300…. which actually doesn’t work.

        Hi Rici,

        Thank you for your question.

Can the card be used in the same way as the “Oyster card”? (swiping the yellow card readers at London tube stations.)

      • Staff
        MayAugust 2, 2016Staff

        Hi Harry,

        Thanks for your inquiry.

Qantas Cash card is not like a card that can be used as a “transportation ticket.” It is a “prepaid credit card” wherein you can load the card with funds and use it for purchases and ATM withdrawals abroad. With this card, you’ll earn one point per dollar spent overseas for eligible transactions and this is attached to your Qantas frequent flyer account.

        Cheers,
        May

        Hi Josephine,

      Two questions.
      1. Having not used my FF cash card other than for booking flights, I need to obtain a PIN number for ATM transactions. What is the process?
      2. I need to obtain another card for my partner, who is registered as a FF. What is the process

      • Staff
        DebbieMarch 10, 2016Staff

        Hi Michael,

        Thanks for your inquiry.

You can call the Qantas Cash Service Centre or go online through the Qantas Cash website to get your PIN. Please note that, the PIN is automatically generated and can not be changed.

Unfortunately, Qantas Cash do not offer supplementary cards so your partner can request for a new card instead. If she is already a Qantas Frequent Flyer member, she can call Qantas customer service or register online to start the process on claiming her new card.

Please refer to the contact number I’ve sent in your email where you can contact Qantas Cash customer service, as well as the link where your partner can register for a new card.

For more details, kindly refer to our Qantas Cash card guide.

        I hope this helps.

        Cheers,
        Debbie

Can you please advise which brand of bank ATMs I can withdraw cash in Australia without being charged foreign ATM fees?

      • Staff
        MayAugust 16, 2016Staff

        Hi Mia,

        Thanks for your inquiry.

The Qantas Cash doesn’t charge fees for domestic ATM withdrawals. You also save by not paying currency conversion fees when paying in a currency loaded onto the card. You can have access to your funds wherever MasterCard is accepted.

However, there are fees for international ATM withdrawals that is $2 per withdrawal. You may also be charged when getting cash out over the counter (approximately $10 per transaction) and having a negative balance ($20). There’s also a currency conversion fee of 3% if you pay in a currency not loaded onto your card.

        Cheers,
        May
