Cash Converters Cash Advance eligibility

The eligibility criteria is quite flexible with this cash advance loan, but each application is handled on a case-by-case basis. It's important to note that an application will be reviewed by someone from Cash Converters who will determine whether or not the applicant will be able to manage and repay your loan. Applicants will only be offered a loan that is suited to their needs, finances and budget. The minimum eligibility requirements are as follows:

  • Age. Applicants need to be over the age of 18.
  • Residency. Non-residents can apply in-store.
  • Credit history. Applicants can apply if they have bad credit but they will only be approved if they can afford the loan.
  • Borrowers under debt agreements. If someone is currently in a Part 9 Debt Agreement, they are ineligible, but if they have been successfully discharged from a Part 9 Debt Agreement more than 12 months ago, their application will be considered.
  • Centrelink borrowers. Loan applicants can receive Centrelink payments, but their total repayments can't exceed 20% of their Centrelink income. Total repayments include loans from other lenders.

How to apply for a cash advance loan

Hi Barry,

Thank you for reaching out to finder.

You may need to check the contract you have with Cash Converters with regards to your loan to ensure that this is something written in the document. You may also contact them to ensure that you are able to ask the questions you need regarding the early debit they did on your account. Hope this helps!

Hi Jackie,

Thank you for reaching out to finder.

Yes, it may affect your cash advance application if your pay goes to your partner’s bank account because as part of your application, Cash Converters will require you to submit the latest 90 days of your bank account transaction history for the account your income is deposited into. Also, you need to have an online banking account otherwise they won’t be able to process your loan application.

You can also confirm this information by calling Cash Converters directly.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Charisse

Hello Daniel,

Thank you for your comment.

People on Centrelink benefits are actually eligible for the Cash Converters Cash Advance Loan. Your loan should not exceed 20% of your Centrelink income, these include loans from other lenders. You may contact Cash Converters directly to see your eligibility for a $1200 loan amount.

Alternatively, you may also compare other lenders offering pensioner loans and Centrelink loan.

Should you wish to have real-time answers to your questions, try our chatbox on the lower right corner of our page.

Regards,

Jhezelyn
