Terms and Conditions
1. The Promoter
The promoter is Hive Empire Pty Ltd, ABN 18 118 785 121, of Level 10, 99 York Street, Sydney NSW 2000 ("Finder", "we", "us").
2. Entry period
Entries open Wednesday 19th August, 9:00AM and close Friday 18th September, 9:00PM ("Entry Period"). Late entries are not accepted.
3. Eligibility
Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 or over who are registered Finder Rewards members and have received a Finder Reward. Employees of Finder and their immediate families, and anyone professionally connected to the promotion, are ineligible.
4. How to enter
During the Entry Period, upload one (1) original video via https://www.finder.com.au/finder-rewards/you-got-a-finder-reward. The video must:
(a) be 15–30 seconds long, in vertical (9:16) format, supplied as an .mp4;
(b) open with the spoken line "I got a $[amount] Finder Reward and I…"; and
(c) show the product, service or experience the entrant obtained with their Finder Reward.
Limit [ONE] entry per person.
5. This is a game of skill
Entries are judged on merit. Chance plays no part in determining winners. Entries will be judged by a Finder panel against the following criteria: how entertaining, how clever/smart the use of the reward, and how genuine/relatable the story is. The panel's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
6. Prizes
Up to five (5) winners will each receive a AUD $500 digital gift card. Total prize pool AUD $2,500. Finder may also feature non-winning entries in its advertising (see clause 8). Where Finder uses a non-winning entry in paid media, Finder may, at its sole discretion, pay the entrant a usage fee of AUD $250. For clarity, the usage fee is offered at Finder's discretion, does not constitute an entitlement of the entrant, and is not part of the prize pool for the purposes of this promotion. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as anything other than stated.
7. Winner notification
Winners will be notified by email within 14 days of judging. To claim the prize, each winner must sign and return Finder's short-form Release Deed within 14 days of that notification, confirming (a) they have all consents required from any other identifiable persons appearing in the entry; (b) any person appearing under 18 has verifiable guardian consent; (c) they own or have the right to use any third-party material in the entry; and (d) the formal grant of the rights described in clause 8(b) below. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days, Finder reserves the right (subject to any applicable directions) to redetermine that prize.
8. Licence and use of entries
(a) All entries: by entering, each entrant grants Finder a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence for the duration of the Entry Period and the 12 months following the Entry Period to review, evaluate and consider the entry for potential use in Finder's advertising and promotional activities.
(b) Selected entries (winners and non-winning entries Finder chooses to use in its paid or organic media) (Selected Entries): the entrant additionally grants Finder a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable and sub-licensable licence to use, reproduce, edit, adapt, publish, broadcast and communicate the Selected Entry (in whole or in part), and the entrant's name, likeness, voice and the statements contained in the Selected Entry, in any and all media now known or later devised, for advertising, marketing and promotional purposes. The entrant waives any moral rights in relation to Finder's use of the Selected Entry to the extent permitted by law. The consideration for the licence in this clause 8(b) is the AUD $500 prize (for winning entries) or the AUD $250 usage fee (for non-winning entries selected for use in paid media), as applicable.
(c) Entries not selected under clause 8(b): Finder will delete the entry from its advertising archive within 90 days after the end of the 12-month consideration period referred to in clause 8(a).
9. Entrant warranties
Each entrant warrants that: (a) the entry is their own original work; (b) they have obtained the consent of any identifiable person appearing or heard in the entry; (c) no person under 18 appears in the entry without verifiable guardian consent; (d) the entry contains no third-party music, logos, trademarks or other material they do not have the right to use; and (e) the entry is truthful and not misleading; and (f) the amount stated in the opening line of the entry ("I got a $[amount] Finder Reward and I…") accurately reflects the Finder Reward the entrant actually received. Finder may disqualify any entry that breaches these warranties. Each entrant indemnifies Finder against any claim, loss or liability arising from a breach of the warranties in this clause 9.
10. Privacy
By entering, each entrant consents to Finder collecting the entrant's video and the personal information contained in it (including the entrant's name, image, voice and the statements made in the video) and using and disclosing that information for the purposes of running this promotion and for the advertising and promotional purposes described in clause 8. Finder will otherwise handle personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy at https://www.finder.com.au/privacy-and-cookies-policy.
11. General
Finder may disqualify entries that are offensive, defamatory, unlawful or otherwise inappropriate. Finder is not liable for lost, corrupted or late uploads. Finder may amend these terms or cancel the promotion where permitted by law.
12. Right to withdraw
An entrant may withdraw their entry at any time before winners are announced by written notice to Finder at privacy@finder.com. Withdrawal ends the licence granted under clause 8(a) but does not affect any use Finder has lawfully made of the entry before the withdrawal notice is received.
13. AI training
Finder will not use entries or the personal information contained in them to train third-party artificial intelligence or machine learning models without the entrant's separate express consent.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and any courts of appeal from them.
