About Finder's Awards methodology

The Best Life Insurer Award for 2023 was based on 2 key factors: price and features. To determine the providers who are competitive on cost, we ran 192 quotes across 4 age groups: 30-, 40-, 50- and 60-year-olds.

To find the brands who offer top-quality cover, we compared 216 features and rated every single one of them. The features score was based on a 80/20 split of policy benefits and price.
