Good morning,

The results from our April 2018 Cryptocurrency Predictions Survey have just been released, so we wanted to share the key findings below.

This month, 13 fintech leaders threw their hats into the ring to predict how the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market cap and the top three trending coins will perform in 2018.

Out of the 13 coins analysed, our panellists predict that Dogecoin (DOGE) will experience the greatest growth by December 31, 2018 (+5,838%). Cardano (ADA) is expected to have the second greatest increase in value by the end of the year (+812%), followed by Ripple (XRP) (+526%).

As at March 27, 2018, Bitcoin’s price per unit came in at $10,650 AUD. By December 31, 2018, our panelists predict it to be worth $27,898.

April is the second consecutive month that panelists have predicted no decreases in value for these coins by the end of 2018, signalling optimism for future growth.

Comparing the forecast market capitalizations for bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Ethereum (ETH) – the only three of the 13 coins with reported number of coins available – Ethereum (ETH) is predicted to see the highest growth by the end of the year (+234%). This is more than double that of bitcoin (BTC) (+114%). Bitcoin Cash came in third with an increase of 40%.
