We've made the hard decision to remove both the Net Wealth and Spend Analytics features from the Finder app on 12 December.

Thank you to everyone who used these features and offered their feedback.

We're proud to have been able to offer these services for free to our members since 2020 and to see the impact they have had in helping so many of you take control of your finances.

We're always looking for ways to improve the Finder app and this decision was made to help us give you the best app experience we can.

We're excited to bring you new features in the coming months that will help you save more and find a better deal.

If you have any questions or feedback you want to share, please reach out to our customer care team by tapping "Get support" in the Settings tab of your Finder app.

Why are the Net Wealth and Spend Analytics features being removed from the Finder app?

Net Wealth and Spend Analytics were added to the Finder app in 2020. Since being released we've received valuable feedback from users on what works and what doesn't.

Removing Net Wealth and Spend Analytics from the Finder app will allow us to improve the performance of the app and focus our attention on what matters most to our members, finding the most suitable products at affordable prices.

Does this include the ability to connect accounts, including bank accounts, via CDR or otherwise?

Yes. From 12 December 2023 you'll no longer be able to connect any financial accounts to the Finder app.

What happens to existing account connections that have been connected to the Finder app via CDR or otherwise?

All existing account connections will be revoked from the Finder app on 12 December.

I received a notification from my bank saying data sharing had been stopped. What does this mean?

Now that account connections have been revoked, your bank or provider may get in touch to confirm that your account data is no longer being shared with Finder. There's nothing further you'll need to do.

What happens to the data from connected accounts?

In accordance with the Finder Group Privacy & Cookies Policy ("Privacy Policy") and, where applicable, the Finder Consumer Data Rights Policy ("CDR Policy") all user connected financial account and transaction data will be deleted.

For CDR-connected accounts, we will also direct our outsourced service providers ("OSP") listed in our CDR Policy to delete such data and will obtain confirmation that deletion has been actioned from each OSP.

Can I export my financial data?

No. Unfortunately you cannot export your financial data from the Finder app. Contact your financial institution directly to access your financial data.

Can I disconnect my accounts and delete my data before 12 December?

Yes, you can disconnect your accounts from the Finder app and we will delete your financial account and transaction data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and, where applicable, our CDR Policy.

Simply sign into the app, head to Settings, tap on Connected accounts and Revoke access to the accounts you'd like to disconnect.

Is there anything I need to do before 12 December?

No. There's nothing that needs to be done.

Will these features be added back into the Finder app in the future?

At this stage there are no firm plans for adding these features back to the Finder app, but it could return in future.

I'm still seeing these features but received a message saying they had been removed.

The update will take some time to apply and you may continue to see Net Wealth and Spend Analytics features after 12 December.
