Fast facts about the Cook Islands

Where is it? The Cook Islands are a small group of islands northeast of New Zealand, about a 6.5-hour flight from Australia.

How do I get there? Rarotonga International Airport is the Cook Islands' main airport. There are direct flights from Sydney available, or connections from other cities in Australia available through there or via New Zealand.

When should I go? The Cook Islands are warm year-round, however the driest days tend to fall from June to August. Avoid the rainy season (December until April) as there is a chance of cyclones during that time.

What should I do? Lounge around on pristine beaches, snorkelling and diving, fishing
