The Body Shop Vitamin E range

This gentle duo will have your skin clean, cleared and glowing in next to no time.

Why we love these products

If, like me, you wear makeup on a daily basis, then you know just how hard it is to find the perfect face wash. In fact, discovering a product that removes every trace of makeup, dirt and grime from the skin without totally stripping it of all signs of moisture sometimes seems a near impossible feat.

As a long-time lover of The Body Shop's products though, I decided to take my search to its online store and I think I may just have discovered that holy grail-esque product after all. Made from a mixture of vitamin E and moisturising wheatgerm oil, The Body Shop Vitamin E Gentle Face Wash has managed to leave my skin refreshed without drying it out ever since I started using it.

Follow it up with the Vitamin E Moisture Cream too and boom – summer skincare sorted!

The quick verdict

Why are they good? The products are incredibly gentle on the skin and leave it feeling clean and hydrated.

How much are they? $19 for the Gentle Face Wash (100mL) and $39 for the Moisture Cream (100mL)

Where to buy them? The Body Shop

First impressions

As soon as you pop the Gentle Facial Wash on your skin, you're met with a subtle, fresh scent. I really loved this about the product as I am quite sensitive to strong smells and don't like the use of heavy fragrances in my skincare products.

The texture is quite creamy, meaning that you do need to wet your face before applying, unlike with oil-based face washes. The product lathers easily enough though and is also incredibly easy to wash off, making it super easy to incorporate into your routine.

As soon as I washed the product off for the first time and patted my skin dry, I could already begin to feel the difference. Rather than being met with that horribly tight, squeaky-clean feel, my skin simply felt soft and refreshed.

Following up the face wash with the Moisture Cream made the experience even better, with the added moisture leaving my skin feeling silky-soft. The cream is very lightweight, meaning that a little bit goes a long way, but it still manages to pack a surprising punch in the hydrating department.

I also loved that it was thin, yet effective enough to use both in the morning and during the summer months in place of my heavier winter moisturisers.

Verdict

Both the Gentle Face Wash and the Moisture Cream have now become staples of my skincare routine, particularly at night-time. Not only do they leave my skin feeling fresh and clean before going to bed, but I can always notice the difference the next morning. My skin is smoother, more hydrated and also more evenly toned which is a big thumbs up from me.

Affordability

At $19, the Gentle Face Wash is definitely a bargain. Given that you get 100ml of product (and that a little goes a long way), I'm definitely happy with the price tag. The Moisture Cream is a little bit more expensive, coming in at $39 for a 100ml tub. As good face creams go though, this one is still definitely on the more affordable end of the scale. Taking into consideration how well the product works too, I would definitely be happy to purchase it again and again.

Where to buy

All of The Body Shop's products are exclusive to the store, meaning that you can pick up the Vitamin E range in-store or on the site.
