The Joe Pickett series now spans 22 novels, beginning with 2001's Open Season. Joe Pickett is a game warden who is constantly embroiled in tales of murder and conspiracy. The series takes place in Wyoming, from where Box hails. Last year, it was adapted into a TV series.
About the author
CJ Box is an American author, born and currently residing in Wyoming. His books frequently appear on the New York Times Bestseller list, and he has won acclaim such as the Edgar Allen Poe Award and the Anthony Award. His novels Open Season, Blue Heaven, Nowhere to Run and The Highway have been optioned for film and television, with The Highway being adapted into the series Big Sky.
