How do I apply for a World Travel Insurance policy?

  • Compare policy options. Before applying for any one policy, compare the available options to see which one best suits your travel insurance needs.
  • Get a quote. Enter your personal and travel details into the online calculator for an estimate on how much you’ll be paying in premiums.
  • Read up on what’s covered. The product disclosure statement (PDS) explains all policies in detail, as well as the benefits you’re eligible for in the event of an accident, theft or loss.
  • Additional cover. If you want extra cover to insure equipment, activities or valuable items, check to see whether your option can be upgraded to include optional extras.

How do I make a claim with World Travel Insurance?

If you need to file a claim on your World Travel Insurance policy, here’s how to get the process started.

  • Get in touch. If you need to file a claim, call the 1Cover Claims for assistance. A claims assistant will guide you through the process. Have your policy number, the PDS and supporting documentation ready.
  • Documentation. Depending on the kind of claim and your emergency, you’ll be asked to submit original medical accounts and receipts, written notices, police reports and proof of ownership. You need to submit your claim along with your documentation  within 30 days of your return to Australia.
  • Send. You can send the claims form and supporting documentation via email or Allianz at the address listed on the PDS.
