Woolworths Rewards relaunches Qantas loyalty program

Woolworths Rewards members can once again redeem rewards for Qantas Frequent Flyer points.

Woolworths Rewards members were given their first opportunity to redeem Woolworths Dollars for Qantas Frequent Flyer Points over the weekend. Woolies loyalty customers should’ve received an email explaining that if you spend over $110 at Woolworths, you can choose to redeem $10 Woolworths Dollars or 870 Qantas Points.

If you received the email offer, you should’ve been given the choice to activate the award for either of the options. So make sure you selected Qantas Points if you want to redeem your points with the airline rather than the supermarket. To receive your Qantas Points, your Woolworths loyalty account needs to be linked to your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership. You can do this through your online Woolworths Rewards portal or by contacting the Woolworths Rewards team on 1300 10 1234.

At the moment, you can only redeem your rewards for Qantas Points when you receive an email offer from Woolworths Rewards. This is the first offer Woolworths Rewards members have received since the program replaced the Everyday Rewards scheme in October last year and they reintroduced the Qantas partnership in December.

Given that Coles launched its flybuys travel website last week, offering flight, accommodation, and car rental deals to flybuys members, it’s no wonder why Woolworths stepped up its game over the weekend.

The supermarket has promised that customers will be able to redeem Woolworths Rewards without the need for email offers as of mid-2016. In the mean time though, you’ll have to keep an eye out for your inbox for opportunities to build up your Qantas Points balance when buying your groceries.

Does the new scheme include Big W in Tasmania.

      Hi Geoff,

Unfortunately, the Woolworths Rewards program still excludes Woolworths and other stores in Tasmania. Instead, Tasmanian shoppers can make use of the Frequent Shopper program. If you’re interested, you can get more information by contacting Woolworths on fsc@woolworths.com.au or call our team on 1300 658 100.

      I hope this has helped.

      Cheers,

      Sally

      Hello Jan,

      Thanks for your question.

Currently you may only be able to transfer your Wollie’s points to your Qantas frequent flyer account manually. You have 3 Options:

      * By logging into your Woolworths online account.
      * By giving them a call
      or
      * By visiting their contact us page and an associate may process your request.

Once processed, it should take up to 7 days for Qantas Points to appear in your account.

      I hope this helps.

      Cheers!

      Hi Ruck,

      Thanks for your question.

You can’t request an additional card for your partner to use at this time.

Woolworths Rewards cards are now personalized to your shopping so it’s one Woolworths Rewards card per member. You can still link Woolworths Rewards accounts to share fuel rewards, but you won’t be able to share Woolworths dollars.

If you are looking to link your card with any other individual’s they can register at Woolworths Rewards website.

      I hope this has helped.

      Cheers,

      Sally
