Pros

  • Receive a $50 eGift Card when you apply by 31 December 2017 and make an eligible purchase by 31 January 2018.
  • Enjoy a waived annual fee for the first year.
  • This card comes with a 0% p.a. for 14 months balance transfer offer.
  • You'll also receive cash back in the form of Woolworths Shopping Cards.
  • Get 10% off on your first Woolworths shop on a selected weekend every month.
  • This card provides automatic room upgrade and allows late checkout at Visa Luxury hotels.

Cons

  • Rewards are automatically redeemed in four-month intervals. This gives the cardholder minimal control over the frequency of redeeming rewards and may restrict people from using the voucher when it's convenient for them.
  • The promotional balance transfer offer reverts to the standard cash advance rate of 21.99% p.a. at the end of the introductory period. This means that if you're unable to pay your balance by the end of the promotional period, you'll begin accruing interest on the balance and could lose the savings made initially.

    Hi,
Can you please clarify whether eligible purchases on the card will qualify me for a $50 or $100 eGift card? There are conflicting information on the Woolworths site & in previous responses listed here.
    Thanks

After receiving my credit card, will I still have 14 months interest free on BT in the following scenario?
    1. Make eligible purchase eg $100 on groceries
    2. Pay off $100 on card balance
    3. THEN arrange balance transfer eg $2000 (in the same payment cycle)
Question 1: will this balance transfer still give me 14 months interest free period?
Question 2: Will I qualify for the eGift card?
    Thanks for your help

Hi I have applied for and been approved for a Woolworths credit card. How long will it take to arrive in the mail for me? Will it be several weeks? Is there a temporary ‘card info’ that I can use to make purchases without the physical card (e.g. similar to Woolworth’s temporary everyday rewards card before the actual card arrives)? Thanks for your help

      Hello Ronz,

      Thank you for your inquiry.

Once approved for a Woolworths Credit Card, it will be delivered to you via Australia Post within 5-7 business days. There is no temporary card as the new card requires activation prior usage for security reasons.

      Hope this helps.

      Cheers,
      Jonathan

I see there are 0% balance transfers on credit cards. Are there any other fees charges for transfers e.g. 2% transfer interest etc.

      Hi James,

      Thanks for your question.

Generally, aside from the balance transfer fee, there are no other fees associated with balance transfers.

However, there are other fees attached to a particular credit card. You can check the full details of these fees under the “Fees & Repayments” tab on our credit card review pages.

      Cheers,

Hi, just wondering, if I have previously had this card but have paid it off and closed the account 7 months ago, am I now considered a ‘new customer’?
Also, does making normal purchases affect when the balance transfer amount is repaid? Which component is repaid first?
    Thanks.

Thank you Arnold. Just to confirm though that the current balance transfer offer is 0% for 14 months.
I tried to look up terms of the overall limit vs requested balance transfer amount. Is there a maximum % that the balance transfer amount has to be below the approved limit? Thanks.

      Hello Peils,

Thank you for sending your inquiry today.

As per Woolworth’s Balance Transfer T&Cs Section 4, it states that:

“We will transfer the balances specified by you to your Account, in full or in part, subject to $500 remaining in your available credit limit. If you have multiple BT requests, we will transfer these in the order they appear in your request”

      Hope this helps.

      Cheers,
      Jonathan

Does payments on travel card (Opel) be eligible for Monthly 10% off purchases?
Any Woolworths points on travel card top ups?

    Thanks

      Hello Chan!

      Thanks for the comment! :)

10% off is applicable for purchases made in-store or at Woolworths’s website. It excludes purchases of liquor, smoking/tobacco products, newspapers, accessories and cards and is not available in Tasmania. As for the Woolworths Money Shopping card every four months, yes they are solely accumulated based on the number of points for eligible purchases.

We recommend that you check the full Terms and Conditions of Woolworths Money Shopping Card Rewards Program and Woolworths Everyday Platinum Credit Card for further information. :)

      Hope this helps.

      Cheers,
      Jonathan

    Hi there,

Just wondering when the balance transfer ‘introductory period’ starts for this card?
Is it when the card is approved, or is it when the balance is transferred over from another credit card?
Is there any balance transfer fee?
Finally can 100% of another credits card debt be transferred to this card?

    Regards
    John

      Hi John,

Thank you for contacting finder. We are a comparison website and general information service, we’re more than happy to offer general advice.

The 0% p.a. interest rate applies only to balances transferred with this offer for the first fourteen months from the date your account is approved. There are no balance transfer fees, you may refer to the “Fees & Repayments” tab for a full list of fees. The minimum credit limit is $6,000 for the Woolworths credit cards, the decision of approving you for a higher credit limit will depend on your income and ability to repay. You may contact Woolsworths directly for additional information.

      I hope this helps.

      Cheers,
