Woolworths Comprehensive Travel Insurance

Woolworths Comprehensive Travel Insurance provides the highest level of cover for overseas travellers who want to spare no expense

When you travel, you become more aware of yourself and your surroundings, and will often take greater care in situations where you wouldn’t give a second thought to at home. For example, if you’re eating in a restaurant while travelling, you will more likely keep your bag on the table or in your lap, rather than casually slung over the back of the chair. If you are leaving your hotel room you may hide your cash and travel documents, or take them with you, while at home you wouldn’t give that sort of thing a second thought.

finder.com.au does not currently have access to this travel insurance brand. You may wish to compare options available on the travel insurance homepage.

While we all take extra care when travelling and we don’t intend to invite trouble or danger in, these things can still find us. Therefore, if you don’t want to take any chances the next time you travel, you will want to consider Woolworths Comprehensive Travel Insurance cover.

      Hi Mark,

      Thank you for your question.

You have contacted finder.com.au and not actually Woolworths Travel Insurance, finder.com.au is a comparison and information service and don’t represent any insurance brand listed on our website.

Woolworths Travel Insurance is not currently one of the brands in our panel of travel insurers so you will need to contact them directly. If you would like to compare policies from travel insurance brands in our panel, please head to ourtravel insurance for motorcycle page.

      Hi Cheryl,

Thanks for your question. finder.com.au is a comparison service and not an insurer. Acceptance criterion for travel insurance with a pre-existing condition varies from insurer to insurer and, as every persons condition is different, from person to person.

      Hi MB,

Thanks for your question. finder.com.au is a comparison service and not an insurer. According to the Woolworths Travel Insurance product disclosure statement (PDS), you are covered for most sports and leisure activities provided you act in a reasonable way to protect yourself.

If someone is injured prior to commencing their travel will the insurer pay for a seat upgrade?

    • Staff
      Richard | June 17, 2015

      Hi J-A,

Thanks for your question. It may depend on the situation and the cover you have. If your injury requires repatriation, for example you have broken your leg and require the extra room, some insurers will pay for a seat on a flight that is more accommodating. You best bet would be to contact your insurer directly.

I am planning to hire a small motorbike or moped to drive on the road in Vietnam and Cambodia. I have my learners motorbike licence in Australia. Will I be covered?

    • Staff
      Richard | June 12, 2015

      Hi EF,

Thanks for your question. You should be covered if you have a valid license in Australia (maybe check with the provider prior to purchase as to learners’ permits) and are obeying the road rules, this includes wearing protective gear even if it’s not required in the country you’re travelling to. For more information about travel insurance and motorcycle use, please have a look at the following page:

      Richard | January 12, 2015

      Hi Denise,

Thanks for your question. You would need to have either a valid motorcycle drivers licence in the country you are travelling to or be licensed to drive a motorcycle here in Australia.

For more information about travel insurance and motorcycles, please have a look at our motorcycle travel insurance page.

    • Staff
      Richard | January 12, 2015

      Hi Denise,

Thanks for your question. According to the Woolworths PDS they cover motorcycles so long as you are not breaking any laws and are wearing the correct protective gear. They may have a specification when it comes to engine size, so it may be worth contacting them to make sure you are covered.

      I hope this was helpful,
