There is little doubt the 2020 edition of the Women's T20 World Cup is going to be the biggest and best yet.

The women's game has made enormous strides in recent years and now enjoys the level of prominence it deserves. Big crowds are tipped to follow the fortunes of the teams as they bid to prevent hosts Australia claiming a fifth world T20 crown.

Women's T20 World Cup fixture list and TV schedule

This year's tournament gets underway with a prime-time, heavyweight showdown between Australia and India at Sydney Showground Stadium on Friday 21 February. The only way to watch all 23 matches for this year's tournament is through Foxtel or Kayo Sports. Channel 9 is also showing Australia's group games, the semi-finals and the final on its 9Gem platform.

What is the format for the Women's T20 World Cup?

The 10 teams competing in this year's Women's T20 World Cup have been split into Group A and Group B. Each side plays the four other teams in their group to determine the four semi-finalists.

The top team in Group A plays the second-ranked team in Group B and vice-versa. The two winners then meet in the final at the MCG on Sunday 8 March.
