Wolf Creek Season 2 is coming to Stan in December

Mick Taylor is back to torment a brand new cast of hapless tourists.

After teasing it earlier this month, streaming service Stan has confirmed that the hit Aussie anthology series Wolf Creek will be coming back for a second season later this year. A Stan Original, Wolf Creek will introduce a brand new cast in its second season, exploring a new story revolving around a group of unlucky tourists who venture into the Australian outback only to stumble into the gun-toting Mick Taylor (John Jarratt).

The new cast includes plenty of fresh Aussie talent like Tess Haubrich (Alien: Covenant), Stephen Hunter (The Hobbit), Matt Day (Underbelly: The Golden Mile) and Ben Oxenbould (The Code). Show creator Greg McLean is joined by two new directors for season two, with Kieran Darcy-Smith (Wish You Were Here) and Geoff Bennett (Love Child) each directing two episodes of the six-part season.

"Along with our partners Stan, SAFC and Banijay International, Screentime looks forward to the launch of the second television series of Wolf Creek in December on Stan," said Screentime CEO Rory Callaghan. "The Screentime team lead by Greg McLean, Greg Haddrick and Lisa Scott have further enhanced Greg McLean’s iconic creative vision for Wolf Creek. The cast and crew have given us everything we asked for and more and the support from South Australia has been second to none."

All six episodes of Wolf Creek season two will hit Stan on 15 December.
