No matter what business you have or the industry you operate in, having a website is a tried and tested way to gain more visibility and, ultimately, more sales. Luckily, you no longer have to fork out for a web designer or even know the basics of coding to do this. Platforms like Wix provide easy-to-follow, step-by-step guides to creating websites, so you can do it completely by yourself. Here's everything you need to know before you get started.
Wix is an online platform that allows you to quickly and easily create a website with high-functionality, thanks to its user-friendly drag and drop features. It caters for beginners right through to experts, with the choice of quality templates or self-editing features. Once your website has gone live, you can monitor its performance through analytics and add SEO.
Building a website should be a top priority for almost all new and existing businesses. Here are just a few ways Wix can help you to promote your business successfully.
Boasting nine different subscription plans, Wix panders to the individual blogger, small business or large enterprise. Read on to find out which plan works best for you.
If you want to give Wix a try before committing to a subscription, sign up to its free plan. While you won't be able to customise your domain name, you'll have access to most other features the website offers. It's worth noting that file storage is capped at 500MB, bandwidth at 1GB and your website will be ad-supported on this plan.
For just $6 a month, this plan allows you to connect your own domain name to your Wix site but comes with the same storage and bandwidth limitations you'll find in the free plan.
Perfect for smaller businesses or individuals, this plan allows you to customise your domain name, enjoy an ad-free site, make use of 3GB of storage and 2GB of bandwidth as well as include 30 video minutes for just $13 per month.
For $17 per month, Unlimited Plan users will unlock online store capabilities, 1 hour of video minutes and $300 of Ad Vouchers to use with Google AdWords, Bing Ads and local listings. You'll also get 10GB of storage and unlimited bandwidth.
If you're happy to pay $39 per month, you'll benefit from 20GB of storage, unlimited bandwidth and 2 hours of video minutes along with VIP support and priority email responses.
Larger businesses can choose one of the business account subscriptions offered by Wix. You can choose Business Basic ($23 per month), Business Unlimited ($27 per month) or Business VIP ($49 per month). A huge difference with these plans is that they allow online payments, 20GB+ of storage and 5+ hours of video minutes. If you're in need of something different, get in touch with one of the teams that can organise a customisable Enterprise Package for $500 per month.
Using any of these three platforms will result in a well-made website, capable of advertising and marketing your business effectively. Which you use depends entirely on your own wants, needs and capabilities.
