Wilder World is a fully-immersive virtual reality and augmented reality-compatible metaverse. According to the Wilder World website, the metaverse game leverages the Ethereum blockchain, Unreal Engine 5 gaming technology and the Zero Network - an all-in-one technology protocol used to build decentralised autonomous organisations (DAO). The Wilder World metaverse was the first to be developed using Zero, in the hopes that the network will allow the onboarding of billions of new users. The first city to be built within the Wilder World ecosystem was Wiami - a digital topographical copy of the city of Miami, situated within the US.
In addition to the Wilder World metaverse, the project is also pioneering one of the first fully decentralised, community-led non-fungible token (NFT) marketplaces, featuring no artist fees and its own dynamic token system. Importantly, the majority of NFTs listed within the marketplace will hold some form of utility within the Wilder World metaverse. The first collection launched within the game included 99 pairs of shoes that can be worn by in-game avatars. These digital assets were closely followed by other in-game NFTs including cars, boats and additional digital wearables.
WILD is the utility token of the Wilder World ecosystem. The token supports the backbone of the Wilder World economy and is also used as a voting mechanism for Wilder stakeholders. Through its own decentralised autonomous organisation (DAO), WILD token holders can vote on new proposals and add new protocols, services, and virtual locales to expand the Wilder World metaverse.
