Why we’re obsessed with MBFWA street style

The streets of Fashion Week Australia are what fashion dreams are made of.

Is there anything more exciting than watching models strutting down the catwalk in the upcoming designs of the Australian fashion elite? Maybe. Just a few metres from the main runway, there is another kind of fashion show.

As bloggers arrive for their events and influencers scope out the surrounds, the streets of Fashion Week become alive with some of the most beautiful outfits you will ever lay eyes on. Certainly, the street style ensembles worn by the fashionable attendees of the week long event are some of the highlights.

Here at finder.com.au, we went down to scope it out and were not disappointed. Rather, we were overwhelmed and besotted by some of the amazing pieces modelled by the guests of Fashion Week. Awash with key trends, we saw cold shoulders, slinky slip dresses, voluminous bell sleeves and striking thigh-high boots being strutted down the sidewalks of Carriageworks.
