Yes Minister premiered in the 80s and is set in the private office of a British cabinet minister. At the centre of the action is James Hacker, whose efforts to enact policy are generally opposed by Sir Humphrey Appleby, a master of manipulation. Bernard Woolley, a principal private secretary, is always caught in the middle.

Boasting political satire of the highest calibre, Yes Minister remains a hoot even all these years later. The show won numerous awards during its original run and even spun a sequel. It's a show that's both informative and entertaining. Even better, it successfully stands the test of time.
