Cast and crew

  • James McAvoy
  • Michael Fassbender
  • Jennifer Lawrence
Set in the early 1960s, during the height of the Cold War, X-Men: First Class revolves around Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr before they became Professor X and Magneto.

Despite their vastly different backgrounds – while Charles grew up with a wealthy family, Erik lost his parents at Auschwitz – the two become close friends. As the world teeters on the brink of a nuclear war, Charles and Erik join forces with other mutants to save humanity, but a situation arises that quickly tears them apart.

X-Men: First Class is an ambitious superhero movie that manages to be clever, entertaining and a lot of fun. Plus, the prequel focuses on the early relationship of two of the most important characters in the franchise, so you have to tune in to find out how it all began.
