A sweeping historical drama, World on Fire follows the interconnected lives of ordinary people from all across Europe as they get caught up in World War II.

The series switches between various locations in France, Britain, Germany and Poland as it jumps between characters. The list includes an English translator in Warsaw, an American war correspondent, a working class pacifist and more. They all have different backgrounds, but they're united by their struggle to survive.

Well-acted and lavishly produced, World on Fire is a treat for fans of period dramas. Ambitious and beautiful, it's the kind of show that stays with you for long after the end credits roll.
