An all-new sound was taking the music scene by storm in the 70s, and in order to survive, record labels were forced to adapt.

HBO’s Vinyl is set in New York City during the '70s at the peak of the music industry where sex and drugs were rampant. The show picks up at the creation of punk, disco and hip-hop as the American Century record label tries to use these new genres to resurrect its dying business. The show follows the president of the record label, Richie Finestra, (Bobby Cannavale) as he tries to keep his head above water along with the business.

Sadly, the second season of Vinyl was cancelled after the first season’s debut.
