While technically the third instalment in the Underworld franchise, Rise of the Lycans is a prequel to the 2003 film Underworld.

Viktor, the cruel king of the vampires, has been persecuting the Lycans for centuries. Until one day, when young Lycan Lucian rallies his people against Viktor and his death dealer warriors, leading the werewolves in a final battle to break free of enslavement – or die trying.

Dark and satisfying, Rise of the Lycans is a lot of fun, mainly thanks to great performances from everyone involved. If you were curious about how it all began, now's your chance to get some answers.
