The reverend Jesse Custer has made the jump from page to screen with AMC's adaptation of Preacher. Here's where you can catch it in Australia.
Vertigo's popular Preacher series caused a lot of buzz back in 2013 when it was announced that Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg (Superbad, Knocked Up) would be adapting the cult comic book for the small screen. Now, Rev. Custer (Dominic Cooper, Tulip O'Hare (Ruth Negg) and the sun-shy Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) are finally arriving on our screens but as usual, Aussies are struggling to find a way to stream the show at the same time as the US. Though there have been some rumours that Stan will be streaming the series week to week - which makes sense considering Stan's healthy relationship with AMC - at current there is no option for catching Preacher on any streaming service in Australia. However, if you don't mind paying up-front, you can pre-purchase the entire season for $24.99 at iTunes. Not only that, but you can watch the pilot episode and featurettes totally free.
Jesse Custer is a reverend in a small Texas town with a dark and mysterious past. When an old flame from his past comes knocking at his door, and another enigmatic fellow literally falls from the sky, Jesse begins to fall back into his old ways - causing him to question his shepherd-like role.
That is until a paranormal entity seeks him out and fills him with purpose.
