Tom Cruise headlines a spectacular, all-new cinematic version of the legend that has fascinated cultures all over the world since the dawn of civilisation: The Mummy. Thought safely entombed deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient princess (Sofia Boutella of Kingsman: The Secret Service and Star Trek Beyond) whose destiny was unjustly taken from her is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension. From the sweeping sands of the Middle East through hidden labyrinths under modern-day London, The Mummy brings a surprising intensity and balance of wonder and thrills in an imaginative new take that ushers in a new world of gods and monsters.

Nick is used to plundering ancient sites for timeless artifacts, which he then sells to the highest bidder. But when he and his partner come under attack in the Middle East, the ensuing battle accidentally unearths Ahmanet, a betrayed Egyptian princess who was entombed under the desert for thousands of years.

As a result, Nick must do everything in his power to stop the monster, who embarks on a furious rampage through the streets of London.

A fun popcorn flick, The Mummy stars a Tom Cruise in top form, ready to take on dangerous stunts as he dodges crashing vehicles or escapes from exploding buildings.

The movie pays homage to the original instalments of the franchise, while also bringing a modern flare into the mix. If you're into fast-paced monster cinema, you can't miss this one.
