Synopsis

Scott has had a case of arrested development since his firefighter dad died. He spends his days smoking weed and dreaming of being a tattoo artist until events force him to grapple with his grief and take his first steps forward in life.

Cast and crew

  • Pete Davidson
  • Bel Powley
  • Ricky Velez
Directed by Judd Apatow, also responsible for Knocked Up and Trainwreck, The King of Staten Island stars Pete Davidson as Scott, a twenty-something slacker who isn't doing a lot with his life.

Scott lost his dad, a firefighter, and becomes unsettled when his mother starts dating another firefighter. So much so that he plans to break the two of them up.

Funny and touching, The King of Staten Island is all about moving forward from grief, growing up and finding your life's purpose. Davidson offers a great performance in the lead role and the supporting cast is just as excellent. In other words, hanging out with these characters is a lot of fun.
