Where to watch Supergirl online
Despite Supergirl's blinding speed, we've tracked down where you can catch her on Australian screens.
It's a rough job being Superman's cousin. The Big S casts a long shadow, making everyone around him seem kind of crummy by comparison. That’s why Kara Danvers kept her own powers secret for so many years, hoping to live a normal life while her Kryptonian cousin did the whole save-the-world thing. But Kara's destiny was never going to stay suppressed forever. When fate places her foster sister of 13 years in mortal danger, Kara has no choice but to embrace her Krypton origins and become the hero she was always meant to be. And so, Supergirl is born…
Originally airing on CBS in the US, there are a number of ways to watch Supergirl here in Australia. On the streaming front, Foxtel Now has everything up to the latest episode available to watch in its Pop package. If you're more of a download person, iTunes and the Microsoft Store have everything that's currently aired up for purchase. Google Play, curiously, has the entire season one but only the first 15 episodes of season two available. Or if you're flush with Sony bucks, you can pick up the first season over at the PlayStation Store.
Supergirl Season One
After revealing her powers to the world, Kara Danvers quickly embraces her role as Supergirl, vowing to protect the people of National City from all who would do them harm. Her noble intentions falter as she discovers her hometown has become a haven for the criminals her late mother banished from Krypton – and these criminals have very long memories. Working alongside the Department of Extra-Normal Operations, Kara attempts to balance her new responsibility as National City's protector with the stresses of regular life, juggling personal relationships and the demands of her day job with laying the smack down on street thugs and supervillains.
The pressure reaches boiling point when Kara suspects her boss at the DEO, Hank Henshaw, isn't the person he says he is, and Kara is forced to re-evaluate who she can trust. Fortunately, she's not alone; with the help of her foster sister Alex Danvers and her friends James Olsen and Winn Scott, Kara sets out to prove that she is not merely Superman's cousin; she is his equal.
Supergirl Season Two
When rising tensions between everyday humans and the growing number of extra-terrestrial beings threaten to destroy National City from the inside out, only the combined power of Supergirl and Superman can hope to stop it. Working against them is the mysterious organisation known as Project Cadmus, fanning the flames of discord from the safety of the shadows.
Amidst all the anarchy, Supergirl's strength is pushed to the limit as she faces off against the undead assassin Metallo, the augmented soldier Cyborg Superman, and the Fifth-Dimensional imp known as Dr. Mxyzptlk. Even with newfound ally Mon-El on her side, can Supergirl keep National City from tearing itself apart?
Supergirl Season Three
Kara's victory against Queen Rhea and her Daxamite army should herald a time of celebration, but the loss of her boyfriend Mon-El weighs heavily on Supergirl's shoulders. She won't have long to mourn, though, as a brand new villain is dropping into National City: the Worldkiller Reign.
