Synopsis

Writer/director/producer M. Night Shyamalan returns with an original thriller that delves into the mysterious recesses of one man’s fractured, gifted mind. Though Kevin (James McAvoy) has evidenced 23 personalities to his trusted psychiatrist, Dr. Fletcher (Betty Buckley), there remains 1 still submerged who is set to materialise and dominate all the others. Compelled to abduct three teenage girls led by the wilful, observant Casey (Anya Taylor-Joy, The Witch), Kevin reaches a war for survival among all of those contained within him, as well as everyone around him, as the walls between his compartments shatter apart.

Cast and crew

Written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, Split centres on Kevin, a man with 23 distinct personalities diagnosed… so far. When he is compelled to abduct 3 teenage girls, they must figure out a way to escape before the 24th frightful personality emerges – The Beast, who plans to rid the world of the "impure".

The movie features a disturbing plot and a fabulous protagonist, so buckle up for a wild ride. James McAvoy offers a brilliant performance, the twists are clever and the suspense is palpable. You will be in for a treat.
