Songbird takes place in a world where COVID-19 has mutated to COVID-23 and has completely reshaped the world. People are locked in, required to perform temperature checks on their smartphones and taken to so-called quarantine camps if they get infected – basically places where they are left to die.

The action follows several characters but mainly revolves around a bike courier called Nico, who is immune to the disease. He video chats with his girlfriend Sara on a regular basis and delivers packages for a living. But when Sara's grandmother gets infected, Nico enters a race against time to secure an immunity bracelet for Sara, which would prevent her from being taken away.

Produced by Michael Bay, Songbird packs action and emotion, as well as an attractive cast. If you don't think that it's too soon for a movie about an even deadlier COVID-19 mutation, you might enjoy this.
