A charming anime, Sailor Moon first premiered in 1992 but spanned numerous spin-offs, sequels, movies and video games, including a reboot that launched in 2014. However, there's nothing quite as magical as the original.

The action centres on a clumsy middle school student, Usagi, who finds out that she's destined to be Sailor Moon, a powerful defender of Earth. Along with the other Sailor Soldiers, a group of warriors/friends, Sailor Moon fights evil forces that threaten our world. She also has an ally in the mysterious Tuxedo Mask, who shows up every now and then to lend assistance.

Sailor Moon was a breakthrough in anime for the Western world. Who doesn't love a group of pretty girls with superpowers? We strongly advise you to stream it in the original Japanese if you don't mind subtitles.
