Comedy, fantasy, mystery

When carefree Nyles and reluctant maid-of-honour Sarah have a chance encounter at a Palm Springs wedding, things get complicated as they are unable to escape the venue, themselves or each other.

Cast and crew

  • Andy Samberg
  • Cristin Milioti
  • J.K. Simmons
A charming romantic comedy, Palm Springs is about two strangers who meet at a wedding only to get stuck in a time loop.

At the wedding reception, Nyles delivers an impromptu speech, to the relief of unprepared maid-of-honour Sarah. The two bond afterwards but their hook-up gets interrupted and they get stuck reliving the same day over and over again.

The premise may sound clichéd, but the movie excels at playing with viewers' expectations and ends up better than it has any right to be. It's hilarious, clever and heartfelt. You'll want to watch it over and over again.
