Everyone loves their family, but no one can annoy you like your family does. Modern Family explores these situations of awkwardness, hilariousness and emotional moments we all share with our families.

Modern Family is an American sitcom highlighting the Pritchett-Dunphy-Tucker family. Often the episodes revolve around an honest and entertaining look at the elements of a modern family, as well as relatable situations in the contemporary world. The characters range from kids to adults and represent each member commonly found in a modern family, including same-sex couples.

The show utilises a docu-comedy style, similar to that of The Office and Parks and Recreation, where characters will have one-on-one sessions with the camera/audience and fill them in on how they are feeling separate to the previous scene.

Modern Family has earned high critical praise for its humorous and original writing in the early seasons, with mixed responses for the later seasons, but the series is still one of the highest-revenue shows on Fox each year.
