How I Met Your Mother Season One
In the year 2030, Ted Mosby sits his kids down to tell them the (extremely long and over-complicated) story about how he met their mother. We are taken back to the lovely year of 2005. Inspired by the engagement of his friends Marshall and Lilly, Ted has decided that he is ready to settle down, much to the dismay of his friend Barney. Ted decides to pursue a woman named Robin, a local TV reporter he met at a bar. Though, things don’t go according to plan and shenanigans ensue.
How I Met Your Mother Season Two
After getting together at the end of Season One, Ted and Robin become a couple. Though things seem to be going well for Ted, Marshall struggles to move on after his breakup with Lily. Trying to comfort his friend whilst being in the throws of a new relationship becomes a difficult thing to balance for Ted. In between this drama, Barney gets up to more mischief and an embarrassing piece of Robin’s past is uncovered.
How I Met Your Mother Season Three
Ted and Robin break-up, and to cope, Robin decides to go to Argentina. After a visit to a dermatologist, Ted begins seeing a new woman named Stella. After Marshall and Lily rekindle their relationship, they decide to buy their first home together. And, much to the dismay of Barney, he begins to have feelings for a woman. Released: 2007
How I Met Your Mother Season Four
Eager to settle down, Ted proposes to Stella. But, after the couple sit down and realise how little they know about each other, Stella decides to bail on Ted on their wedding day. To add to his troubles, Ted loses his job and decides to try and make it in the architecture business on his own. In a crazy turn of events, Barney admits that he loves Robin, which causes friction between him and Ted.
How I Met Your Mother Season Five
After an embarrassing introduction, Ted begins his new job as an architecture professor at a university, where he begins dating one of his students. Barney and Robin begin dating (and they are perfect for each other). Marshall and Lily decide that they want to take their relationship to the next level and to have a baby.
How I Met Your Mother Season Six
After many failed attempts at trying to find ‘the one’, Ted is still persistent and continues searching for the love of his life. His success in this endeavour is varied. Marshall and Lily want to start the next chapter of their life and begin trying to get pregnant. After many years of wondering who his father is, Barney is reunited with him. But does he live up to Barney’s expectations?
How I Met Your Mother Season Seven
Ted continues his valiant quest to find the girl of his dreams (which happens in every season). After many attempts, Marshall and Lily finally become pregnant and they begin planning the arrival of their child. Much to her dismay, Robin realises that she has developed feelings for Barney and try’s to figure out what to do with her new found feelings.
How I Met Your Mother Season Eight
Much to everyone’s surprise, Ted continues searching for the love of his life. But, viewers finally catch a glimpse of the illusive ‘mother’. After Robin and Barney struggle to maintain their relationship, Barney makes an elaborate last-ditch effort to win her back. Marshall and Lily find that their new life as parents is not as easy as they thought.
How I Met Your Mother Season Nine
After eight years full of laughs, romance, emotions, and shenanigans, How I Met Your Mother reaches its final season. We finally get to meet the ‘mother’. Unlike the rest of the show, the last season is set during the weekend of Robin and Barney's wedding. Where, the ‘mother’ is playing in the wedding band. Even with the divisive ending (which annoys me to no end), it is a fitting finale to the beloved series.
