Futurama follows the life of Philip J. Fry (Billy West), a pizza delivery boy who accidentally stumbles into a freezer on December 31, 1999 and wakes up a thousand years later. In his future home of New New York City, Fry goes to work for the Planet Express Intergalactic delivery company, where he befriends Bender , a booze-fueled robot, and sets his romantic sights on Leela, a sexy cyclops who enjoys beating him up.

Ever thought about what humanity will look like in the 31st century? Futurama has the inside scoop. Or, at least, it offers a sharply inventive and colourful look at what the future may hold. Spoiler alert: travelling between planets will definitely be a thing.

When a pizza boy is accidentally frozen and wakes up 1,000 years later, he teams up with one-eyed Leela and alcoholic robot Bender to form an intergalactic delivery service and go on all sorts of exciting adventures. Witty and fun, but also boasting its fair share of emotional moments, Futurama is a worthy successor to The Simpsons. After all, they were created by the same man, Matt Groening.
