After more than a decade of rumours, it's confirmed: Friends is back… sort of. The cast of the beloved sitcom reunited earlier in 2021 for a TV special that aired on 27 May 2021. The TV special will see Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer return to the comedy's original soundstage for a real-life unscripted celebration of the long-running series.
They were joined by an impressive list of special guests – including pop culture icons, Friends guest stars and more. The main cast will revisit the sets of Friends, re-enact table reads, and do fun bits that pay homage to landmark episodes of the series. They'll also talk about filming the sitcom and the impact that Friends had on their lives. Based on the trailer, it looks like an emotional affair, so we strongly advise you to keep a box of tissues handy as you press Play.
