Coming from Michelle and Robert King, the same creative duo behind The Good Wife, Evil is a strange but brilliant series with an intriguing premise.

The show kicks off when a forensic psychologist is recruited to help a priest-in-training investigate seemingly supernatural occurrences that have something to do with the church. Like demonic possessions, miracles, exorcisms and so on.

With the help of a tech guy, they delve into spooky incidents with the purpose of figuring out if there's a scientific explanation or if there is something paranormal at play. The psychologist is a sceptic but she finds her convictions repeatedly tested as the team encounters weird phenomena.

A tremendous cast and tight writing make Evil a captivating, bleak and often funny show – one that raises lots of questions and keeps viewers guessing about what's really going on. You might find it unsettling, yet you'll also be compelled to come back for more.

Evil season 3 details

The rag-tag team of investigators is back at work in Evil season 3. Catch fresh episodes exclusively on Paramount Plus every Monday starting 13 June 2022.

Judging by the trailer, this third instalment will be a creep-tastic affair. Kristen, Ben and David (who is now a priest) continue to investigate mysterious monsters of the week. However, all of them have changed in impactful ways – and will likely continue to do so as the series progresses.

Season 2 ended with Kristen confessing to David that she got away with murder and them sharing a kiss. It's likely they're still lusting after each other, so it will be interesting to see how their dynamic is affected in this new batch of episodes.

If the promo is to be believed, one thing's for sure: this season will be even darker than the first 2. You might want to invest in a night light.
