Cast and crew

  • Bruce Willis

  • Bonnie Bedelia
Die Hard centres on NYPD officer John McClane, who is visiting his estranged wife on Christmas Eve. He joins her at a holiday party, but the festivities are interrupted by a group of terrorists who take over the exclusive building and everyone in it. Very soon, McClane realises that there's no one who can save the hostages but him.

A thrilling film, Die Hard delivers on every level – from acting to story to special effects. Bruce Willis and Alan Rickman offer excellent performances, the action is top-notch, the violence is tempered by the occasional moments of humour. Yippee-ki-yay indeed. If you haven't watched it yet, there's no time like the present to see what all the fuss is about.
