Synopsis

Welcome to Wisteria Lane. It may seem like the perfect suburban, all-American street, but look beyond the perfect houses and picket fences and the cracks begin to show. Mary Alice was, until recently, a resident on the street, then she took her own life. Now, from beyond the grave, she lets us in on the secrets of Bree, Edie, Gabrielle, Lynette and Susan – her friends and neighbors on Wisteria Lane.

Desperate Housewives centres on four female friends who reside on Wisteria Lane, a picture-perfect suburb that hides numerous scandalous secrets. After one of their neighbours commits suicide, the four women fear that their seemingly ideal lives will start to crumble as well.

Witty and addictive, the series knows how to pull in viewers – mostly with the help of seductive mysteries and soapy twists. That's not a bad thing, since Desperate Housewives excels at showing viewers the dark side of suburbia. The terrific cast is just the cherry on top.
