Set in England at the end of the War of the Roses, Blackadder follows Prince Edmund, a sniveling coward who calls himself the "Black Adder". With the help of his grungy servant, Edmund plots his rise to greatness.

Featuring cunning plans and cutting comedy, the series is a good time, especially if you're a history buff. The humour is delightful and the acting top-notch. All in all, it's a pleasure to follow shrewd Edmund and his dim servant Baldrick as they scheme their way through British history.
