The premise of this thriller seems outlandish. Yet, Black Bird is actually inspired by true events.
The series centres on Jimmy, a young man whose promising future vanishes after a series of bad decisions land him in a minimum-security prison for 10 years. There, he is given the chance of a lifetime: if he's willing to enter a prison for the criminally insane and forge a connection with a suspected serial killer, he can walk free.
Jimmy agrees, but life behind bars is no picnic. Additionally, getting close to a psychopath and figuring out when he's lying is complicated, to say the least.
