America's Top Dog sees dogs and their handlers – usually police K9 teams and one civilian team – take part in competitions that involve ruff obstacle courses and complex scent detection tests.

The show is hosted by veteran sports broadcaster Curt Menefee alongside expert dog trainer Nick White and features sideline reporting by animal rescue ambassador Jamie Little.

The winners from each episode go nose-to-nose in the big finale, with the best of the best receiving the coveted title of Top Dog. If you're a dog lover, you should definitely put this delightful series on your watchlist.
