Where to buy the glitter Birkenstocks your 90s heart has been longing for

Posted: 3 April 2018 1:05 pm

For all those times you've wished your footwear just had a little bit more sparkle.

Birkenstocks are without a doubt one of the most comfortable shoes out there – that's not in dispute. But we have to admit that they could use a little bit of jazzing up if you want to wear them out to an event.

Well, this collaboration with Opening Ceremony has definitely jazzed them up good and proper. You can now wear a set of glitter Birkenstocks when you're ready to take the town by storm.

The shoes will come in both pink and silver glitter as well as two different shoe styles (Boston and Arizona), so you're well and truly taken care of in the variety department. Pink glittery shoes? It's every young girl's dream.

Now, we're not sure about you but whenever we walk past a little girl on the street wearing super bright, sparkly shoes, we get a little bit of shoe envy. Okay, maybe a lot of shoe envy. So now we can safely say that our footwear choices have expanded!

The collection is currently only available on the Opening Ceremony website, but if they prove popular enough, then there's every chance we could see them expand their stockists to let everyone embrace the glitter.

If you're after your own pair of super comfortable shoes, you can purchase regular Birkenstocks at THE ICONIC, ASOS, Styletread, General Pants, Glue Store and Platypus Shoes – not to mention direct from Birkenstock's online store.
