How to buy last minute BBL T20 tickets to sold out games

The BBL is one of the most popular competitions in the world and luckily, T20 fans can get last minute tickets to sold out games.

It may only be entering its seventh season, but the Big Bash has changed not just the viewing habits of cricket lovers, but the Australian sporting landscape in general. The average attendance of the BBL in Season 6 was 30,534, placing it as the seventh highest for any competition in the world. It's beaten only by the likes of Major League Baseball, The Premier League, NFL and competitions of that global significance. Yep, the Big Bash is big, and getting a ticket can be tough. In fact, 20 of the 35 games played in Season 06 were considered a sell out!

Thankfully, it is possible to secure a ticket to sold out game in Season 07 of the BBL from a fellow fan that can no longer attend. The site StubHub, a subsidiary of eBay, is a portal for such secondhand sales. Below you will find a list of all the games being played this season: simply find the game you wish to attend, click the link, and any available tickets will be presented to you. And if you haven't already, make sure you check out our Big Bash Entertainment Awards - you'll be surprised by the results!

Common questions about Big Bash tickets:

Where can I buy Big Bash tickets?

You can buy Big Bash tickets online in advance of the games. You can purchase them through the Big Bash website (which will lead you to Ticketek) or through other resellers listed below, where you may have the chance to score tickets to a sold-out event.

Do Big Bash tickets include public transport?

Public transport is included in the price of your ticket or already free at the following venues:

  • The Gabba, Brisbane
  • Adelaide Oval (included for most events)
  • Etihad Stadium, Melbourne (within the free tram zone)
  • MCG (short walk from the free tram zone)

Can you buy Big Bash tickets at the gate?

Yes. As long as the tickets aren’t sold out, you can purchase tickets on game day at the box office. You’ll also be able to avoid online transaction fees if you purchase tickets at the gate.

However, if you want a guarantee that you’ll be able to get into the game, we’d recommend buying them in advance.

How much do Big Bash tickets cost?

If you’re able to get tickets direct before they sell out, they can be as low as $5 for children and $20 for adults. Family tickets, which are valid for two adults and two kids, are $42.50.

If you’re buying tickets from a re-seller like ebay or StubHub, ticket prices will likely be higher.
