Each year on 25 April, Sydneysiders take a moment to pay their respects to those who fought at Gallipoli in 1915.
From dawn services right across the city to spending the day on the harbour, these are just a few of the ways you can make the most of your Anzac Day this year.
If the sun is out, you can't go wrong with a public holiday surrounded by nature. Visit the Chinese Garden of Friendship or get out of the city and head to the Blue Mountains.
This wouldn't be a complete list if we didn't include some classic Australian water activities. Consider exploring Sydney Harbour via kayak or go jet boat riding.
If you caught the dawn service in the city, then why not enjoy the rest of your day seeing Sydney as a tourist? You can catch a city to seaside bus tour, climb inside a Harley Davidson or see the Opera House from the inside.
New to the city and want to tick off those all-important Sydney sights? Look no further than an attraction pass with access to Taronga Zoo, Madame Tussauds and Sydney Tower Eye.
From a relaxed sightseeing cruise around Sydney to closing this Anzac Day with a sunset sailing over the harbour, climbing aboard a cruise on 25 April is a simple yet effective way to fill your itinerary.
Start your Anzac Day nice and early with a visit to your local dawn service. This traditional service pays tribute to the brave troops who sacrificed their lives in Gallipoli and is typically held by RSLs at local war memorials.
Some popular places and their services times are below. Keep in mind that while they're free you may need to register to attend.
After a day spent exploring Sydney, return to the Cenotaph in Martin Place to take part in the Anzac Day sunset ceremony.
The schedule includes a short service honouring those who have fallen, the NSW Ambulance Service Band and a lowering of the flags. This is the conclusion of Sydney's official Anzac Day commemorations.
The service begins at 5pm.
