Hi, I went to the Westpac site and this offer does not seem to be available. The term offered is 24 months, and the first year annual fee is not waived. Any idea if the offer on the Findr website is still available?

      Hi Randall,

I’m sorry about that. I suggest to kindly check or refresh your internet connection since I have double checked that the redirect link is working. In this page when you click on Go to site button you will be redirected to Westpac’s website showing the promo that you are applying for. There will have a small red rectangle button that says APPLY please click that. You will then be asked if you are a Westpac customer or not, just answer that then click CONTINUE which is showing at the lower part of the screen. Then you will be redirected to the page where you will input all the necessary answer to successfully apply for a new Westpac Low Rate Card.
In the event that it is not working, you may refer to this link to proceed with your online application.

      I hope this helps.

      Have a great day!

      Cheers,
      Jeni

Can I transfer the balance of my company credit card held in the name of the company? Or is this offer for individuals only

    • Staff
      AshMarch 23, 2018Staff

      Hi Jacquie,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Westpac does not allow Balance Transfer between Credit Cards that has different names. You may look at this page for reference as you can see on the table the name of banks that does and does not allow the transfer between different people’s names.

You may also reach out directly to Westpac to clarify if they have the option to transfer the balance from your Company Credit Card to your Personal Credit Card.

      I hope this helps.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to us again if you have additional questions.

      Cheers,
      Ash

When will I know if I have been approved for a balance transfer?

    • Staff
      RenchMarch 18, 2018Staff

      Hi Elizabeth,

      Thanks for your inquiry.

Applying for a new balance transfer credit card usually takes between 10 – 15 minutes and you can expect a response almost immediately. Once your balance transfer credit card application has been approved, it can take between one or two weeks for the balance to move to your new account.

For Westpac, it will take up to 7 days to process a balance transfer once approved. Once you’ve applied for a balance transfer and it’s taken longer than two weeks to appear in your account, you can contact your new bank to confirm when you can expect the balance to appear in your account. Once it does appear in your account, you can start making repayments to pay it off before the promotional period ends.

      Hope this information has helped.

      Best regards,
      Rench

The link provided does not open. Is this promotion only available for Westpac customers?

    • Staff
      NikkiMarch 7, 2018Staff

Hi there! Thanks for your questions.

Upon checking, the link is working on our end, should you be referring to the green “GO TO SITE” button.

Regarding the promotion, balance transfers are only allowed from non-Westpac Australian issued credit, charge or store cards. While Westpac is affiliated with St.George, Bank of Melbourne and BankSA, you can request balance transfers from any of these brands to Westpac.

      Hope this helps! :)

      MayMarch 12, 2018Staff

      Hi Nige,

      Thank you for your inquiry.

If you are looking at transferring your personal loans to a credit card, the possible cards you can start looking at would be the cards issued by Citibank and Virgin Money. Best to check your options and guide on this page. In case you’re also considering checking a debt consolidation, please refer to this page.

      Hope this helps.

      Cheers,

Does it matter how fast I pay back the credit card? Will I get a fee if I am able to pay it off within a year/18 months?

    • Staff
      RenchFebruary 27, 2018Staff

      Hi Stacey,

      Thanks for your inquiry.

For Westpac Low Rate Card, you should be okay to pay of your balance transfer earlier than the promotional period of 30 months.

Moreover, there’s no fee if you’ve paid off your debt early. There’s only a late payment fee of $15 if you miss a payment. There’s also no fee if you will cancel your card early.

      Best regards,
      Rench

Can I balance transfer my partners credit card to this card?

    • Staff
      JhezelynFebruary 2, 2018Staff

      Hi Robin,

      Thank you for your comment.

Yes, your partner may be eligible for a Westpac balance transfer if she’s transferring the balance from a non-Westpac card to a new Westpac card. Refer here to know which banks you can balance transfer to and from.

Westpac does not allow BT between two names and joint account holders. However there are credit card companies that do. You can check this page.

      Hope this helps.

      Regards,
      Jhezelyn
