      Hi Roland,

      Thanks for your comment.

One of the features of the Westpac Altitude Black credit card is that it offers Uncapped points. It means that, with your choice of rewards program there’s no limit on the amount of points you can earn. Hope this helps.

      Regards,
      Jhezelyn

In the promotion two months ago, the first year annual fee of the Westpac Altitude Black is waived. I wonder if the first year annual fee can be waived in the current promotion.

      Hi Bo,

      Thank you for your enquiry.

The current promotion of the Westpac Altitude Black credit card does not include waiving the first year annual fee of $395.00 but this card offers 100,000 bonus Qantas or Altitude Points when you meet the spend requirement.

      Kind regards,
      Jason

If I spend $5,000 in the first 30 days, for example, when would the 100,000 points be allocated? Do you have to wait the full 90 days for allocation?

    • Staff
      JasonJanuary 29, 2017Staff

      Hi Libby,

      Thank you for your enquiry.

It’s not necessary to wait for the 90 days allocation. Once you’ve meet the spend criteria, the bonus 100,000 Qantas or Altitude points will be credited to your points balance in two increments – 50,000 and then 50,000 – within 60 days after the eligible spend criteria is met.

      Kind regards,
      Jason

Do you need to also join the Qantas Club or Frequent Fliers ?

      Hi Peter,

      Thank you for your inquiry.

If you choose to receive Qantas points using the Westpac Altitude Black (Exclusive Offer) credit card, you would be required to have a Qantas frequent flyer account so that the points you get from the card would go directly to your Qantas frequent flyer account.

In case you would need information about Qantas frequent flyer program, please refer to this page.

      Cheers,

Can you please update the points info – according to Westpac’s info page, customers electing Qantas Points will earn 1.5 points per dollar from AMEX and 0.625 points per dollar from MasterCard.

      Hi Luan,

      Thanks for your question.

Yes, you are correct. With Westpac Altitude Black, you will have the option to choose between Westpac Altitude Rewards and Altitude Qantas (Qantas) program.

If you choose Westpac Altitude Rewards, per $1 spent on eligible purchases you will earn:

MasterCard = 1.25Ppoints (Domestic Merchants) / 3 Points (Overseas Merchants)
      AMEX = 3 Points

If you opt to Qantas program, per $1 spent on eligible purchases you will earn:

MasterCard = 0.625 Points (Domestic Merchants) / 1.5 Points (Overseas Merchants)
      AMEX = 1.5 Points

      Cheers,
      May

Can you get a business card – AMEX and Visa/MC?
If you get a personal AMEX and Visa/MC and a business card is the $395/yr applicable twice? If so, is the 100,000 reward paid twice?

    • Staff
      MayDecember 6, 2016Staff

      Hi Phil,

      Thanks for your question.

Unfortunately, this Westpac Altitude Black with Exclusive Offer is a personal type of credit card and the features of this card may not be sufficient for your business. The business credit cards are actually listed here.

Meantime, with Westpac Altitude Black, you will have one account but you will get two cards, AMEX and Visa/MC. So the annual fee of $395 p.a. is applied once for the account, not for each card. The same is true for the 100,000 bonus Qantas or Altitude Points, which you will receive once if you meet the requirements.

Hope this has answered your questions.

      Cheers,
      May
