Wellness hotel brand EVEN makes its Australasian debut

Posted: 26 July 2017 3:13 pm

Auckland to welcome the first EVEN hotel outside of North America.

The EVEN Hotel brand is synonymous with the term "wellness". In fact, it's the only hotel chain in the world with wellness at its core, offering everything from nutritionally balanced meals to dedicated in-room fitness zones throughout its properties.

The hotel's concept was developed by International Hotels Group (IHG) with an onus to offer a "better way to stay". Since its inception, four properties have been established in North America, with three in New York and one in Nebraska.

Now, IHG has announced that it's taking the concept across the globe and opening its next hotel in Auckland, New Zealand.

Due to launch in 2020, the hotel has already secured an address at the corner of Albert and Wyndham Street, setting it up to become an oasis of calm and revitalisation in the heart of the busy city.

When it opens, it'll feature 200 rooms as well as EVEN Hotels' signature features. These include state-of-the-art fitness facilities, in-room exercise zones, nutritionally balanced menus with fresh and organic produce and small group fitness classes.

In addition to health, wellness is promoted through luxury services and amenities, including plush, eco-friendly bedding, aromatherapy amenities in bedrooms designed to de-stress and re-energise and modern open work spaces in communal areas intended to provide a sense of comfort and enhance productivity.

The hotel is scheduled to be launched in 2020 and is the first of 10-15 EVEN hotels that are proposed for the Australasian region, particularly Australia and New Zealand.
