Championship club Brentford is on a memorable run in the Carabao Cup, beating four Premier League clubs in a row to reach the semi-finals. The Bees knocked over Championship stragglers Wycombe Wanderers in the first round before accounting for Southampton, West Bromwich Albion, Fulham and Newcastle United. It is the first time Brentford have reached the semi-finals of any major cup competition.

Brentford sit fourth in the EFL Championship while fellow Londoners Tottenham are also fourth in the Premier League at the time of writing. But Spurs manager Jose Mourinho is not a happy man after players Erik Lamela, Sergio Reguilon and Giovani Lo Celso broke coronavirus protocols over Christmas.

Who will win the Spurs vs Brentford semi-final?

It would be great to see Brentford's fairytale continue, but we fancy Spurs will simply have too much firepower here. Harry Kane, Son Heung-min, Dele Alli and Lucas Moura form a formidable attacking unit. The big clubs don't always prioritise the Carabao Cup, but this represents a good opportunity for Tottenham to deliver some silverware for their passionate fans.
