Where to watch the Rugby League World Cup 2017 Final online

Matt Sayer 1 December 2017 NEWS

Catch the long-awaited showdown between England and Australia live on your favourite streaming device.

History is set to come full circle in early December with England and Australia squaring off in the Rugby League World Cup Final for the first time in 22 years. Way back in 1995, Australia conquered the Poms in a rousing 16-8 victory, and it's safe to say the British team has been a little sore ever since.

On Saturday 2 December, though, England has a chance to rewrite the history books and take vengeance on the reigning champs. Kicking off at 8:00pm AEDT at Brisbane Stadium in sunny Queensland, the 2017 Rugby League World Cup Final will be a stirring match to watch regardless of whether you're wearing the hometown colours of green and gold or throwing your weight behind the British underdog.

If you can't make the trip to Brisbane to see the two muscle-bound teams duke it out in the flesh, and you don't feel like watching the match on your regular TV, there's a third option: streaming the final live over the Internet. Best of all, it's completely free.

Watch the Rugby League World Cup Final on 7Plus

At the same time coverage kicks off on broadcast TV, Channel 7 will stream the final on its catch-up and on-demand service 7Plus. Like the TV broadcast, you'll still need to sit through the commercials, but on the plus side you won't have to crowd around a single TV with your mates to see all the action since 7Plus supports a wide range of modern devices.

Not only can you stream the final on your Android or Apple smartphone with the 7Plus app, you can watch all the excitement on your Telstra TV, Apple TV, PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, just to name a few of the devices compatible with Channel 7's streaming service.
