The Open Championship, also known as The Open or the British Open, is back for the 151st edition and you can watch every hole live. In 2023 The Open is returning to the Royal Liverpool Golf Club.
This is the 13th time the Royal Liverpool Golf Club has hosted the tournament. It was last held there in 2014.
Australian Cameron Smith is the defending champion and is back this year to defend his title. He leads a 10-strong Australian contingent at The Open. Also teeing off under the Australian flag are Min Woo Lee, Jason Day, Adam Scott and Lucas Herbert. Travis Smyth, David Micheluzzi, Haydn Barron, Connor McKinney and amateur Harrison Crowe are making their debut at the Open championship debut. In the case of Barron, Smyth and McKinney, it is actually their first appearance in a major championship.
Plenty of other big names will be playing The Open too, including 2014 champion Rory McIlroy, who's entering in with good form having just won the Scottish Open in the lead up.
When is the 2023 British Open?
The 2023 British Open Championship runs from Thursday 20 to Sunday 23 July AEST.
Given the time difference between Australia and the UK, each day's play will run from late afternoon into the very early hours the following day Australian time.

All rounds of the British Open will be broadcast live on Fox Sports in Australia and made available on demand.
